About Us

SwissPy is registered as an association in the Canton of Zurich.
UID: CHE-373.029.030

Our members are experienced scientists with a strong background in software development and data analysis. All our members hold a PhD. Some still work in academia while others are employed in industry. In addition we do have multi-year experience in teaching these topics at different levels of experience. Our lecturers have been teaching Python to students from undergraduate to post-doc level at the Universities of Zurich and St. Gallen as well as to employees of private companies.

andreas

Andreas holds a PhD in Physics and is an experienced data engineer and AI architect. He has more than ten years of professional experience in Python and four years experience in developing production-ready Python microservices, as well as deploying machine learning projects to production.

christian

Christian has led several global teams of data scientists, engineers and analyst as well as product managements in the areas of finance, insurance and risk management. He holds a PhD in Physics and a minor in economics.

federica

Federica holds a PhD in Physics and is an experienced data scientist. She has more than ten years of professional experience in data analysis, machine learning and statistics, which she developed during her work in research, consulting and aviation.

nicola

Nicola leads a team of in-house IT specialists developing and operating business solutions at a Swiss university. He has a lot of experience teaching Python, including several courses at universities as well as for companies. Nicola holds a PhD in Physics, a minor in political sciences and a certificate in adult education.

roman

Roman is a lead detector scientist developing x-ray and electron detectors for research and industry. With a PhD in Physics and a minor in informatics, he is particularly adept at integrating his hardware and software expertise.
